How many mile do you go over your scheduled oil change?

I just realized Im over by 60 miles, is this doing damage to my car? Im going this Fri. to get it done. I haven't changed oil in over a year. Oil is a lubricant. It does break down eventually, but it still lubricates, just not as efectively as original. as long as it is full, then that is the main thing to worry about. The oil splashes up from the bottom of the engine and lubricates all of the necessary components. If it is low, it will not splash up and lubricate, thus a blown engine. Don't get me wrong, I do advocate regular maintenance of a vehicle, but I think some people make too big of a thing about it.How many mile do you go over your scheduled oil change?You will be ok.
